BCHJA 2022 Symposium

We are thrilled to announce the return of our BCHJA Symposium. Ashlee Bond and Traci & Carleton Brooks of Balmoral Farms will be joining us on November 26th & 27th at Thunderbird Show Park. (Details regarding tickets and rider applications to come).

A little more about Ashlee Bond - Bond began competing at the age of six, won her first grand prix at age 16, and in 2001 was named Grand Prix Rookie Rider of the Year by both USEF and the Pacific Coast Horse Association. In 2009, at 24, she was in the top 40 in the FEI World Rankings, was No. 2 on the Rolex/USEF Show Jumping Rankings, and was named "Chronicle of the Horse" Show Jumping Horseman of the Year.

Between 2009 and 2014, Bond won the 2009 CHIO Aachen, 2014 HITS $1 Million Grand Prix, and an FEI Nations Cup. She won the $100,000 Longines FEI World Cup Jumping title at Thermal, California, in 2016, and the $100,000 Longines FEI World Cup Qualifier at the HITS Coachella Desert Circuit in 2017.

She has qualified to represent Israel in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. In July 2019 Team Israel won the Olympic Jumping Qualifier at Maxima Park in Moscow, qualifying for the Tokyo Olympics, the first time that Israel has earned a place in the Olympics in equestrian.

A little more about Traci & Carleton - Traci and Carleton Brooks have a lifetime of experience with horses, an extensive teaching and training background and a keen ability to match horses and riders and produce results. They share an appreciation and respect for horses, and in addition to their training skills they are also well known for their high standard of horse care and attention to detail.

Together they’ve trained and produced numerous National Champions such as Penn Square, Ragtime Cowboy, Triton Z, Wish List, Sleepwalk, Virtue and Corallie. They are also well known for bringing riders from beginners to National Champions. Together they have trained horses and riders to numerous championship at shows such as The Pennsylvania National Horse Show, The Washington International Horse Show, The National Horse Show, Devon, Junior Hunter Finals and International Derby Finals.

Carleton Brooks, best known as “CB”, is one of the most respected and recognized horsemen in the country, awarded the USHJA Lifetime Achievement Award. His successful career spans three decades coaching, judging, training, riding and competing. Whether training one of Balmoral’s many nationally ranked hunters, judging at National and International horse shows such as The Washington International, The Pennsylvania National, Devon, International Derby Finals, Junior Hunter Finals and the Royal Winter Fair as a USEF ‘R’ judge, or working with a wide variety of students and horses as a trainer and clinician, CB is a hands-on professional with an exemplary reputation.
